by John Thomas
With reference to Acts 17:6,7,31—Afterwards Paul announced to the learned and polite Athenians, that the Deity purposed to rule the inhabited earth by the Anointed Jesus, whom he had raised from the dead for this intent; and in all the cities he visited, he proclaimed Jesus as the future king of all nations, by which he turned the habitable upside down (Acts 17:6,7,31). This was in effect preaching the coming of the Lord in power; for unless he returned, and that with power, he could not do the things declared.
